... A picture taken at sunrise... Around 7am, temperature less than 5 degrees Celsius... A beach south of Dublin...
And yet was it worth it?
It's a decision only the model can make: Will I strip and risk getting sick for a picture or will I wait for better weather conditions?
There was a "heatwave" (if you can call it that) in Ireland last week, every morning was brisk, the air so crisp, the sunrise so golden and inspiring... It just called for pictures! Unfortunately, the only day we managed to go and catch that special sunrise was rather cloudy and cold...
No sunrise is a waste, no morning is ever lost... Of course the light and atmosphere might be different, and yet I don't regret having been there...
The calm of the sea, the stillness of the world so early in the morning, when everything awakes slowly, when even birds are afraid to sing too loud in case they should make too much noise... Never do I regret this kind of shoots: it might take a lot of energy but seeing the world in such a manner feels like a rebirth...
